Happy Easter & Fave Scrappy Event!

Sunday, April 24, 2011

I hope you all had a Blessed Easter. We attended church and did all of our festivities on Saturday.
I'm so excited because one of my fave sites - The CSI project - put my "Recycled Chic project" in the Top 10 this week. And the wonderfully talented Teresa Collins emailed and said she loved how I used her products. I'm smiling ear to ear!

This page came about after cleaning my craft room today. I used the fun Sketchy Thursdays sketch for this one.

This page has pics of the first time I ever attended a Scrapbook Convention. I went with my friend Jennifer. I was in Crafty Heaven as soon as I walked in.

Instead of using patterned paper behind the photos...I dressed it up a bit and used pink tulle.

And since is this is my Fave Memory...or should I say "Fave Scrappy Memory", I am also entering this in at These Are a Few of My Fave Things - Fave Past Challenge.

I found this fun 12 x 12 K.I. Memories - Designer Keepsake Pocket Holder and used it instead of regular patterned paper. I also dressed up a fun tag and added it to my page.

Love these sparkly alphas.

If anyone is going to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in June please let me know. I'd love to meet more of my bloggy friends. Click HERE to find out more about the event.

Girly Recycled Chic!

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Happy Earth Day everyone! We are already getting into the spirit of things over at Papercraft Star this week.

Here are the Challenge details:
Create a project with Earth Day as your inspiration, include a recycled or re-purposed item in your project to help save the Earth! Don't forget to tell us what it was in your blog post.

I never buy gift bags anymore. I make my own by recycling brown paper bags from my local bakery.

I used goodies from the Teresa Collins "Posh" Collection for this project. My fave part of this collection is the "Cameo" chipboard. Love it!

I also recycled when making this Pillow Box. I used the thin cardboard that comes in the boxes of supplies that I order. If you need a good template & instructions for making a pillow box see the instructions below or - Click Here!

And I always "dress up" the handles of the gift bags that I make. This pearl trim is also from the Teresa Collins "Posh" Collection.

Live Good ....... Be Happy!

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

Happy Wednesday and welcome to another fun challenge at Papercraft Star. I had a lot of fun with my card this week. Before I get into the details here is the challenge info:

Create a layout or card using this sketch as your inspiration

I made a Spring Card full of cuteness using the sketch. The design is Clean & Simple so that the tree, birdhouse, and birdie are the main focal point.

I'm also linking this up at Wee Memories for their Color Inspiration Challenge. I LOVE Spingtime colors because they are so Cheery & Bright!

Instead of using photos she used 3 Puffy Felt Embellies.

I also made a paperclip flower embellishment and clipped a sentiment on it.

Our wonderful sponsor this month is The Scrapbooking Cottage. They are giving away a Gift Certificate to the winner. How cool is that?

Can't wait to see what you come up with for this week's challenge.
